Maine Snowfall

Winter has arrived a few days before the Solstice here in Maine. It brings a grounded peacefulness and deep silence. I stop my skis to feel what is, to soak in the incredible beauty. There is a sleeping giant inside the earth under this snowy mantle. One that hasn’t shown itself in aeons, but will soon awaken from its ancient slumber, shake the loam from its ears, and be about some serious business! This force is not death and destruction, but rather a love so powerful any foe has no choice but to instantly lay down their arms of illusion. I feel the giant’s presence stirring beneath my feet, [smile]. People of the Earth open your hearts– open to the energy of our greater selves. Great things are in store for humanity and our planet. Our collective Soul is lighting us into a divine, glowing expansion– a blazing aurora of Love.

Glitz, glam, step into the world of fast-paced Hollywood. The modern artifice of a gripping, edge-of-your-seat movie, a 12 laughs per minute comedy, or a dizzying stimulate the fight or flight nervous system drama, leaving one feeling washed up on a beach with a starfish in your mouth even though you’ve never left your seat. I am careful about what movies I’ll subject myself to, preferring to create my own adventures in real life as I often feel like I’m living inside the movie I’ve just seen for a week or two. Still, one can practice virtual surrendering to what is, whether its falling through space at the speed of light, kissing cannibal spears, or witnessing the horror of the battle of the Lonely Mountain. It, after all, like life, is just an illusion. An illusion of experience that really isn’t happening according to quantum physics. We are 99.9% space and life is itself a hologram. My dear, sweet Alice . . . how far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go? Sitting in a plush, velvet seat the farther the better! But what if the rabbit hole never ends? Truth is, in this expanding universe, it never does.

Be, live, embrace all experience. Find stability and connection within your own heart. It is the only reality that is sure and steadfast, that won’t pull away beneath your feet.

All that has come before is but a blink in Eternity as is all that is yet to come. I sit on the left doorstep of this old New England Meetinghouse and am given a funnel-like sensory impression of energies, problems, worries, and concerns that have stepped out of this door ever since it was built. Some leaving lighter hearted due to “acknowledging God’s acceptance” of them and their situation. None of their fears and worries exist now but as a resonance from an earlier time. But if all time is happening simultaneously, then truly it is all here now. Our fears and worries will end too, so why not now? They are but a play of the hologram, the illusion; self-created and no more substantial than smoke. Instead, let your heart be glad. Gratefully embrace the whole spectrum of life and the world, the universe. Choose your thoughts and feelings deliberately for the bouquet that is your created lifetime, but remember, contrast makes each thought/feeling sweeter. Enjoy the spectrum of experience without judgment, both the good and the bad. My friend Linda Westfall recently said, “I enjoy my sadness as much as my joy.” It is very satisfying in the big picture to have experienced a broad-spectrum life full of contrast, deepening and intensifying our desires, our life-force. Expand and co-create with the universe, with your Greater Self.

The stonewall to the left front of the church has born witness to many lives. The triangular rock is easily identifiable in the 19th century photos of early parishioners. I sit upon a rock before it, place my left hand upon its crown, and say a blessing for all those who shall bear witness to its existence. May you be blessed, may your sorrows and fears dissolve, may you dance ever freely with all of creation, and may you come to know who you really are.
