The summer is nearing its end and I have neglected my blog. Oh, I have had a very good reason of course– let me just say that I’ve been having too much fun! Yet this afternoon I am drawn to tune into the Earth cloaked by my orchard:
My dear child, I have missed our connection, I hear. I feel Love surrounding me softly and I sit in this softness, this embrace, while the crickets serenade and the damp, twilit air cools my bare skin. Pear boughs bend under their heavy load despite my pre-season harvest and the smell of field grass and wildflowers pervade the air.
Send your roots deep to connect with me no matter where you are. I am right under the concrete of big cities… you can also embrace me with your eyes from the window of an airplane. Connect with me often to come home to your physical roots and receive my embrace. It is all-healing and will both ground and energize.
I sit in the Earth’s profound embrace and feel just that. I don’t want to move it feels so good, but there are mosquitos beginning to bite. Regardless, my heart is full like the baskets of pears and here I continue to sit. Content just to Be.
